Parent Teacher Sign-Ups

Be on the lookout, tomorrow, teachers will be sending out a sign-up for parent teacher conferences.

This year, conferences will be held October 15, 16, 17, and 18.

We look forward to seeing you!

Mr. Lee is turning 80!

Mr. Lee is our amazing custodian here at Mountain View. He's such a ray of sunshine and always helps in any way he can!

Mr. Lee is turning 80 on October 1st!

If your family feels so inclined, we welcome you to send in a card for him, a bag of M&M's, or something to make him smile on his birthday!

Run for Greatness... What is PledgeSTAR?

2024 is an exciting year for Run for Greatness! Friday October 25 will be our 10th annual event marking a decade of dedication, generosity, and compassion for the students of our school. In addition to this milestone, we are also taking Run for Greatness a step into the future!

This year we are excited to use Pledgestar, an online fundraising system, that will streamline the process of sending out donor requests and enable us to accept online donations using credit cards and checks. This will make it much easier for you to request pledges from family and friends, and for them to make donations. It's fun, it's easy, and it helps us earn more for programs that enrich our student's education!

Students that have entered 10 emails by October 10, 2024 will earn extra recess and a popsicle on Friday October 11!

Students that enter a total of 30 emails by October 15, 2024 will be entered in a drawing for a $50 Target Gift Card. This gift card will be awarded on October 25!

Instructions

Using your computer or phone's browser:

Go to http://pledgestar.com/mtview
Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
Enter your name (not the student) and email address, then click “Submit”
Follow the instructions on-screen to register Runner(s) and add family and friends
There is a “How To” Video available at our site too!

When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.

We have printed donation request letters available in the school office available on request and will continue to accept any donations that are mailed to Mountain View at 2311 Lemar Rd, Mercersburg PA 17236.

September PBIS Reward

Reward: Dance Party

Date: September 27th

Any student who received 1 or 0 MAJOR referrals. Students who have received 2 or more will be retaught expected behaviors during this time.

Location: Outside on the playground

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students.

School Drop Off and Pick Up Times

Morning

7:20am - Doors open at Mountain View for students, breakfast available.

7:40am - Doors close. After 7:40am, a student is considered late. Please walk your child into the school and sign them in at our office.

Afternoon

2:10 pm - Bus dismissal

2:15 pm - Students who are parent pick-up are dismissed. Please be in the parent pick up line at this time. Parents, we ask that you pull all the way forward in the parent pick up line. For safety purposes, we do not dismiss students to cars until all of vehicles are stopped.

2:20pm - All students should be picked up by this time.

Transportation Changes

Please remember- if your student will be traveling home a different way than what is listed on the Skyward portal, it is essential for a note to be sent into school or emailed to our Mountain View Secretary at: sjunkins@tusge.org

**We can not accept transportation changes after 1:30pm.
